i read about an underwater park somewhere near/north of laguna beach (it sounds similar to la jolla shores)

it was on this board but now i can't find it

does anyone know the location of the site? any tips?

Maybe Crystal Cove Park? Here's a writeup from the Laguna Sea Sports site:

"The Crystal Cove State Park area has 3.5 miles of beach and 1100 acres of off shore area designated as an underwater park. The entire CCSP offshore area lies within the boundaries of the Irvine Coast Marine Life Refuge."

Crystal Cove, great dive site. Bit of a walk down the hill, but a good path. Entry is a stroll amoung the basketball sized rocks in water that is still knee deep 20 yards off shore. Once you get into water that is deep enough, it is lots of reef structure and great diving.

Not the place to be today with the 4-6 foot swells. So you do need to watch the surf reports closely for this site. I have only been there once, and will be going back again.
