I am replacing the corugated hose on my wing. I had believed that the power inflator was attached via a tie wrap. When I cut off the tie wrap and removed the power inflator, I noticed that it had a coating of glue (not very strong). Does anyone know what kind of glue to use? should the glue be used at the wing end of the corrugated hose, as well?

Tom Winters:
I never used glue when I was changing out inflator hoses. Just get the tie wrap on nice and tight.
Agreed. No glue should be necessary.

I believe the "glue" is there as a sealant only (in addition to the minor PITA). I use 2 zip ties with the connectors 180 off. I've never had a problem with leaks.

I had the same experience. Zip ties work good. ALthough I still would use Permatex Ultra Black Hi Temp RTV Silicone Gasket Maker #598B. This stuff has great holding power as well and still can be removed without a hassle if need be.
