This big light is sure not very bright and maybe kicking out 500 lumens . So replacing the batteries did not help , I trouble shoot and find corrosion is the problem . Hey 20 years of 3 D batteries in the hull of the light what do you expect . This light transfers negative battery ground through a beryllium copper spring and inner aluminum hull to the light bulb . I fish the spring out of the tube and give it a thorough cleaning with steel wool and hull . Wa La , it works as good as new for this $ 500 light . Have a nice day or night Rumdumb
