Repairing a hand spear

Hi. I was wondering what people used or where they purchase the latex tubing for a hand held spear. I found some at lowes but it handles nothing like the original. Any help locating some identical replacement tube is appreciated.

You might be able to find different diameters and thicknesses among the hardware stores, but the internet is a better resource. You can find a wide selection of tubing at eBay - sold for spearguns and pole spears so you can ask the seller for advice - as well as pre-fabricated pole spear bands.
