We're staying at the Allegro (right next door) and want to do the same thing - one day rental. Apparently, there is a car rental place right across the street from the Allegro - Executive Car Rental.

I have been trying to reserve a car online, but that's not going very well (not very good communication) so we'll probably just walk over there once we get into town and make the reservation.
