Rentals in Bonaire

Hey there!

My husband and I, and potentially one other couple are planning a trip to Bonaire for 2 weeks and were wondering if there are any recommendations for condos/houses to stay at? We have been before, and stayed at Buddy Dive - but think that for a 2 week trip we would prefer renting a unit.

ANY recommendations would be appreciated! Our planned travel dates are Dec 29-Jan 12. Thanks so much!

Can try a rental condo owned by a couple I know ..google Zales rental unit Bonaire and see what comes up. can also pm me here and I'll get info if that does not come up.The unit is at Sand Dollar and is a 2 bedroom unit.On the water with easy access to Bari reef.

Belmar - the other Buddy Dive location - has 2-3 bedroom units. http://www.belmar-bonaire.com/ All face the ocean. It's far enough south of the airport to be really quiet at night. Unlike Port Bonaire.

Vince - he'll probably see this - also has a really nice unit - unfortunately (for you not him) it's booked pretty solid til mid-August. Vinibu, Bellevue #9, Bonaire, Dutch Caribbean--Welcome

Sun Rentals also lists a bunch at the bottom of their homepage: http://www.sunrentalsbonaire.com/ I almost rented a house in Belnem from them a few years ago - they're tied in with one of the local diveops so will deliver tanks etc. as needed.

We've been visiting Bonaire and experimenting with housing options for 15 years.

Our current favorite is Beachcomber Villas, a private oceanfront property just north of Buddy Dive and Captain Don's. The owners are friendly Canadian expats, and live on the ground floor. The upper floor has 2 completely self-contained apartments with a shared terrace and oceanfront views. We stayed there for 3 weeks last Christmas, and are already booked to return with another couple next Christmas. Several visits we rented places threw Remax Bonaire, renting the truck with AB Cars and doing the Buddy Dive shore package.

We will do this again, although this year we are joining friends at BD.

Check out VRBO® is Vacation Rentals By Owner I have always been successful with this website. I'm now staying at a unit at Bellevue, that I found on vrbo, and are very nice. 2Br 2 bath right on the water with easy access to the reef.

Agree with VRBO. That's where we found the Perla condos. We stayed in the one named Chikitu. Great location, outside dive locker and wash basin at your back door. There are a total of 7-units there to choose from. We're scheduling our next trip now and will be staying in same location again.

Just spent two weeks in Bonaire. We were seven the first week and 10 the second. We rented Villa Eldorado (do a search on Google...there is a video of the proprety) located in Santa Barbara. The villa is split in two, main level with three bedrooms , two bathrooms, kitchen, dining, living room and humoungous porch in the back and the lower unit containing two bedrooms, one bathromm, kitchen facilities, dining and living room. We spotted the place on Homeaway (9 Dorado is the adddress). It has a rince area and clothes lines for scuba diving equipment as well as a lockable washing/drying room next to the lower unit. It is 5 mins from town and located in a quiet suburb. Throughly enjoyed the place. Here are a couple links about the place.
