Even though you will be diving daily, you may want to get online and try to book a rental car for the week under one of those superdooper Hertz/AVIS/Budget week long special deals...simply because taxi rates from FA to downtown will cost you about $8-10 one way. Many of the "week long" rate structures with the big guys make it worthwhile to just rent and not hassle with cabs. This way you've got the freedom to do/go whenever you want!
As an example, I'm about to post newly negotiated AVIS rates on my site ....the week long rate on a 2000 Chevy Sun standard shift WITH A/C will be about $197 [$28 daily] and includes liability insurance. You must add 10% tax and then there is -0- deductible insurance available for an additional charge. This is slightly more than 1 taxi trip into town a day!!
Just a thought....since this is your first journey to our area I know you will find so many things you want to see and do ALL OVER the island....why not have the maximum flexibility?!!!
