While looking for wet suits to rent for the upcoming Camp Dive Weekend, I came across this great rent to own program that Tom's has. I'm sure most of the folks in Austin know about this but others may not. It is kind of like a lay away program but you actually get to use your gear. You make monthly payments and "rent" it when you want to use it. All rental payments go towards paying it off. Plus no interest for 12 months. I don't see a down side any way I look at it.

thinking about getting my BC and reg thru this great program. i'm always in Austin for business, so when i need my gear i'll stop by and "rent it".

Warren was very helpful when I was there and am looking forward to going over there soon and diving some equipment in the pool to try out things.

I could see doing it on a wetsuit if it were part of a bigger package of gear or maybe a higher end suit. I could also see having the ability to apply a portion of a suit rental to a purchase if you were trying to figure out which make and model worked best for you. A suit you think works great on the showroom floor may not be a good once you spend an hour underwater in it. I think that would be a bigger selling point for wetsuits.
