Remote control housing???

Dear all,

Has anybody tried making or buying (if any) housings for remote controls?
IR or bluetooth remote controls are a good way to use older mechanical housings with new cameras with LANC or visa versa.. )

Any ideas, opinions...

LANC is a remote control cable. Only Sony uses LANC - and it's been around for some time now.

Using another remote control type (like an IR remote) would require another seperate housing for the remote... no?

Perhaps that is why nobody does this...to my knowledge.

Just got one of theses for my sharp viewcam, this has the video cameras remote inside the housing and works with the cameras IR for record/stop and zoom.

Not really the same thing but kinda.
