Thanks. Did you get that somewhere on the website that I just missed it or is this your personal words of wisdom?

No, it's not on the site. The site is after all a little bit confused.

If you can bear with me for one more questions, what exactly does it mean that a regulator is "oxygen cleaned"?

What Jim (& kat) said. Plus they guts of the reg are cleaned with a detergent like Simple Green to remove any combustibles such as particulate or hydrocarbon contaminants.

So to put it all together, the nitrox regulator has been super cleaned, assembled with special O rings and lubricated with a special grease. Use this regulator with up to 100% oxygen.
Your regulator in standard trim will work quite ok on blends up to 40%. The use of this limit, you may well learn on your nitrox course.

just did a SSI nitrox course. and for rec diving and basic Nitrox your regulator should be fine. Now whether you'll build up CO2 and have a temporary post dive headache I don't know, but it won't hurt the regulator!

now that the question has been answered (yes, you can use your regs for up to 40% nitrox)

what happens AFTER you use it and it gets contaminated by ambient air? will it blow up?

(hehehe .... no....)

I think, as the standard of diving industries, all of regulators can be used with O2 from 21%-40% without any special procedure or service.
