Regulator warranty

Who has the best warranty on regulators. I understand that Scubapro has lifetime on parts. So how much is the labor to get them fixed or serviced.

As far as I know, both Scubapro and Aqualung/Apeks provide free parts for the lifetime of the reg...provided that the reg was purchased from an authorized dealer and the servicing has been done annually without fail. I believe that Scubapro requires a full overhaul every year, and Aqualung requires a full overhaul every other year with "visual inspections" done on the in-between years.

Even with the free parts, you will still have to pay for labor. This can run $40 - $70 per reg per servicing and depends on where you get it serviced.

Scubapro and Aqualung will not warranty anything that is sold over the net. You must buy it from a dealer over the counter. I guess the dealer then sends in the waranty card to validate the purchase. I think this is correct, or at least what I can find out. I am leaning towards getting Atomix regulators. Service after 300 dives or every 2 years, inspection reccommended inbetween years.

Couv, your first link does not work, gives me a "page not found" error.

The cost of service is in the $25-40 PER stage or $75-120 for 1st/2nd/octo reguardless of manuf. Most provide "free" parts for life if you keep the warranty up.......a hugely debatable issue. I am in the who cares about the free parts camp and choose to forgo the warranty. I do my own service for a varity of reasons.
