I'm a Fish!
Hello,
I recently just bought a scubapro mk25/g250 and an Air 2 for my BC. I was wondering when do I need to have it serviced to keep it in warranty. Do I need to have is serviced within 12 months starting from the date I registered it online with scubapro, or the day I bought it? I just dont wanna lose out on my warranty. I didnt know if I had to have it serviced right when I bought it, since it should be in perfect shape no matter how long its been on the LDS's shelf. I just didnt know how scubapro knew when you had the product come into your hands so the 12months coudl start. Thanks!

It needs to be serviced every year. I beleive the clock starts once you purchase/register it. It doesn't need any warranty service when you first buy it (you get a year to use it first), however if you aren't happy with the way it breathes (too hard to breathe, too easy to freeflow, etc.), your dealer can adjust it for you, and shouldn't charge you anything.

Alright...thats what I thought. I figured that they couldnt start the clock once it began to sit on the dealers shelf b/c then the unsuspecting buyer would have an unknown amount of time to get it serviced if any time at all. Thats why I figured it started with the registration process...any other comments form anyone?

My wife has a scubapro reg and it has to be done on or before the purchase date. MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THE GREEN SLIP YOU WILL GET AFTER IT IS COMPLETED OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET WARRANTY THE NEXT YEAR the shop has to have this the next year to send in to scubapro to get your warranty.

I do believe on the registration card you have to list the date of purchase. To be on the safe side, I would have it serviced within one year of the date of purchase.

The shop my wife bought her reg at submitted the registration with scubapro while we where there so for hers it was the purchase date as well as the registration date. We had another shop service it and he went by the PURCHASE date.

Hey scubaaaronh how did he know what the pruchase date was at the other shop you had it serviced at? DId he look it up on the scuba pro dealers website? or did you use your reciept instead of your preferred parts card?

I have Scubapro regs as well, I do services annually or before the trip, after you dive make sure clean before storage prolong life, condition of the regs.
