Ok I would like to know the way everyone routes their 7' hose & were the secure it & which one they breathe off of. As well as which one you give up.

Seven foot hose around the neck into the mouth or under the chin? Donate short hose (primary) in mouth & goto the 7' around neck. How about some feedback.

Thanks,

Ok. The DIR folks'll jump in here, but maybe I'll beat 'em.

Down the right side of your back and around your hip, to the front, up over the left shoulder, around the neck and into the mouth.

Remember to have already put your bungied backup around your neck before routing your primary hose.

You donate what you breathe off of [on the long hose].

If you have nothing on your right hip, the hose may ride up. Most route it under a canister light mounted there. I don't have a canister light, so I put a D-ring on my harness there. If I don't have anything clipped there [my game bag works great], I use a bolt snap attached to the hose to keep it from riding up.

I use a Standard DIR configuration:

7 Foot hose - Down along the right, cross the chest, over the left shoulder and around the neck into your mouth.

Backup in Necklace - just like Spectre said.

I don't have a canister light either so, I just tuck the extra hose underneath the webbing. Keeps it out of the way until I decide I need the extra couple of feet.

You breath the long hose until there is an out of air situation...then you donate the long hose and switch to the backup.

I personally like the DIR setup a lot, and will not go back to my old system.
