I always enjoy watching stuff getting disassembled and reassembled. Sounds like a fun Tuesday night.

Time: 6:00pm-7:30pm PST (9p-10:30p EST)
If google is right that is 4:00am local time which is a bit too early for me.
@rsingler IF you plan to record the section to make it available on demand later, I will be very happy to watch it, although I understand that this needs quite a bit of extra work from your side hence probably it won't happen.
Thanks anyway...

As a few of you have requested, I'm going to host a Zoom discussion on the new Scubapro Mk19EVO.

Date: Tues, Jan 18th
Time: 6:00pm-7:30pm PST (9p-10:30p EST)
Hope that works for both West Coast'ers getting home from work, and East Coast'ers going to bed.

We'll compare it with the Mk17 (and the Mk25).
We'll compare schematics and open up all three regs.
We'll look at the crispness of IP lockup, and also compare IP shift from full to empty tank.
We'll look at advertised flow numbers.

I'll do a reassembly demo, just to show ease of service, but this is won't be a DIY service course.

And we can argue about it! :gas:

Zoom meeting connection info will be posted here before the session.
No chance to compare the MK19 EVO with the MK19?
That's what I would be interested in......

I only have comparative schematics. As you have pointed out in the past, the Mk19 was not popular here in the US.
But if someone can get me a Mk19 by the 18th, I'll include it and show the differences.
They will be in four main areas:
1) a single large mainspring was changed to two shorter springs to get the same force in a smaller package;
2) the grooves that lead from the valve lifter to the intermediate pressure chamber were enlarged and improved;
3) the directional characteristics of the area under the turret were massively improved;
4) the heat sink design was improved.

I'll return your Mk19 serviced with a new kit.

Robert Singler is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

January 18th, 1800-1930 PST

Meeting ID: 879 9223 0883
Passcode: 221841

Please learn how to run your end "Muted" and then press Spacebar to enable your microphone.
With all the attendees, if your screen is the "Speaker", what you see will change every time someone coughs.
Also considering learning how to "Pin" a screen in Zoom, so my video stays visible even when we are discussing something with input from multiple participants.

Send me a Direct Message if you have questions on how to link up.
It's generally more flexible on a laptop than on a tablet, at least during the discussion phases.
Download free Zoom! My paid subscription will allow more participants at once than are likely to show up.

Cheers!
