is their any comparible difference between apeks and scuba pro regulators? I don't have a
lds locally that is really what i would call a dealer for either one of them. but i have decided that i will probably purchase one of the two. thanks

What has you fixated on these brands at the cost of local support? I consider that a mistake.

What has good local support?

Pete

Both Apeks and Scubapro have great regulators. Many Tech divers use either brand without reservation. I recently purchased a Scubapro MK17/S550 reg and could not be happier. That's not to say that there are not great regs from other manufacturers. It all comes down to several factors: local serviceability, reliability, and a reputable company that will be around for a while (Apeks, Scubapro, Aqualung, Mare, Zeagle are such companies).

Both are good regulators. You can't go wrong with either brand. I would look at other brands as well. Atomic, Oceanic, Mares and US Divers/Aqua Lung. They also produce good products.

thanks for the help
