I'm a Fish!
Hello all,
Me and my wife/business partner @Menna ibrahim are thinking about expanding our diving business from Egypt to USA.

We are Americans from NJ, moved and operating in Egypt for the past 3 years.
We have good traction from Germany and Russia. And we would like to expand our base here in America.

Any thoughts and feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Your website comes up on Google. It is not easy to find information regarding your operation. What are you going to do with a "branch" in Florida?

Best of luck
Do you have a diving business in USA?
Also.... What website are you talking about.

Anyways, my business is not a secret. Google Hurghada Splash Boat.

Maybe you or one of your family members or friends already paid us a visit in the past.

I'm sure that if you or them already did... Whomever will agree that we are unforgettable on many different levels.

Hence, we are expanding!!!

Oh good, we have so few of those here in FL.

Sarcasm aside, what is going to make yours different than the plentiful training businesses already here?
I don't know how is it there to answer such question.
But... I can only answer after playing fair for a year or so.

I assume Ford and Dodge
Or
Walmart ShopRite

They have almost same thing and plenty of happy customers.

I'm not coming to take away anyone's business.
I'm coming along with my wife @Menna ibrahim for a fair play and to compete indeed.

So you plan to develop new customers that were not there before? What is your plan to do this?
Open a diving center.
Advertise.
Coach.

Or
Maybe a partnership with a center that is already exist.

My wife @Menna ibrahim holds a master degree in Maritime recovery and research.
Myself, an ex GE junior executive.

We both are dive instructors for recreational and technical diving for multiple agencies and speaking, reading multiple languages.

For example, as we are speaking now, I am about to board a plane to Doha , Qatar.
Few courses I am going to coach there.
I am sure they have diving instructors there. However, few of my customers came on our boat few months ago. According to their stories, "we are different". Hence, they have hired me to coach them there. Then in few weeks they will come back to our boat "Hurghada Splash Boat" for more "real" practice. We are planning 100 meters deep dive.
Muscle memory is a key of survival. How to work with teammates to ensure proper gas labeling and switching techniques.

Well... Here I am asking to explore possible avenues.

”What website?
We didn't have a "website" for years 🙄!!!”

If you want to expand your business, you might want to rethink that, and also build up a serious social media presence.

The largest busiest LDS in my area has the best and most up to date website and a large social media presence. I do not believe this is a coincidence.

See any number of threads on Scubaboard about poor communication and marketing from dive businesses.

We have a very strong social presence on all platforms. Just look up Hurghada Splash Boat. However, you are right about the website. When we establish grounds in USA, I will reach out for you (if that is OK with you) and maybe others to recommend someone trustworthy to build it for us.

I'm going to try to be constructive.

There are a lot of places in the US that don't have good instructors available. Find a location with a base of "hungry" divers that don't have many other options.
