Hello all! new to the board, so far i'm very impressed with the intelligent discussions that take place here. finally decided to hit everyone up for some advice.

i'm a Padi advanced diver with 36 logged dives. got a zeagle ranger which i really like and the scuba pro MK25/S600 which i'm very happy with.

my only issue is that when i turn my head left or right, the reg feels like it wants to come out of my mouth. i had my local scuba shop put a 360 degree swivel on it(like the oceanic delta4) thinking that would help. not so much...... so now i find myself holding the reg in place with my hand when i turn left, right or look up. looking straight ahead i have no problems. i've rotated the cylinder some to see if that eases up the tension, doesn't seem to. any other thoughts or recommendations?
thanks!

Had a similar problem with a swivel hose.
I put MiFlex hoses on my primary, octo, and inflator.

Problem gone.

Btw... welcome to SB!

I needed a little longer hose and have had no trouble. It's a 7' hose lol. My back up was a bit short on my bungie, so I got one about 2" longer and have had no trouble. Check if a little longer hose will do the trick.

Without hearing more (or seeing a picture), it does sound like a classic case of too short a hose. Make sure you're not routing the hose under your armpit?

Do you rig the Mk 25 with the turret up or down? I use it uppermost and moved the hoses around to give the classic 2nd stage/octo on the right and bcd inflator on the left. I've never experienced your problem on my setup.

a DM at my LDS rigged my new MK25/S600 and when I went to put it on a tank it looked backwards.. I said to the DM you hooked this up backwards and he said no... YOU are trying to put it on your tank upside down. I don't really like this setup...so you just switched your hoses and turn it the other way? .. no problems?...

So my turret is down. appreciate the advice. now that you mention it, i do think the hose may be on the short side. don't know the dimensions. I'll try switching the turret up and i may just go ahead and try one of the miflex hoses that BKP suggested.
thanks!

Are you sure your Zeagle is adjusted correctly? Your shoulder straps could be too long or your tank could be too low which will reduce the length of usable hose on the primary. Try to cinch up the shoulder straps a bit and maybe set the tank up higher in the bands. That would prob help your trim as well as give you more slack in your hoses.

My turret is down, but I also went to a longer hose (42") on my primary so I could route it under my arm (profile pic) I also have a swivel but it just as well could have been an elbow cause it stays in one position, I do not get any hose pull on my reg .. Miflex hoses would render the elbow/swivel unnecessary
I cant imagine that your hose is too short, may be a position/routing issue as has been suggested
