Hello there,

just got back into diving after a misguided 6 years off.. I took a refresher on Looe Key, had a blast, and can't figure out why I ever stopped. It may have been poverty and research grade pharmaceuticals.. I'm not sure.. ;)

Anyway I am back in Brooklyn, NY and damned if I can find anyone to help me with my AOW in this 36 degree water :) (Never thought I'd miss the water temp in the San Juan Islands :) )

This board had been a godsend... however I now feel like I am not complete without an Apeks reg and a BP&Wings ;)

Hello to all and I hope to get to know y'all.

thnaks for all of the greetings. folks here seem very friendly.

I probably check this board 5 times a day (at least) even when I should be working (it's ok I am a programmer not a fighter pilot)

I encourage anyone in the NYC area to ping with a message as I know few divers around here.

replying to my own damn post, however I managed to sign up for drysuit class at a very nice shop. I thought divers here in the city would be few and far between, but I was quite wrong.

What a great town to meet divers!

oh, and the non-divers are at least tolerable! ;)
