Running low on cash, so I am asking anyone in the Ottawa area if they want to sell a used reel.

Would prefer a simple mechanism, but I have heard about the ones that have a trigger that will release the line. If anyone has this, let me know.

You can get a small plastic caddy for electrical cord, holds about 100 ft of poly line (not included) for about $4. Works great plus you can build massive forearms if you wind it up one-handed
:D

Thanks for the reply, but I'm referring to a diving reel. Something to deploy a sausage or for penetration.

i think we should have a thread going in the ontario forum so everyone can list there stuff for sale.. cause im also looking for some LP tanks and Bottom timer and a few things to sell

Hi thrive,

If you check the do-it-yourself section of the board there's some good ideas for making your own fairly cheap. I made my own and it works great, and was alot cheaper than a new one.

Just buy one, parts are in the 100.00 range then a couple of hours of your time. Most of the time only good for a quick fix anyway.

Thanks everyone. I got a really good deal on a reel from a member. Even tough it was missing a part that I had to order.
