hiya. i will snorkeling in a protected lagoon on one of the smaller islands in the Philippines in Aug.

does anyone have any tips on critters that i should keep an eye out for?

not necessarily dangerous ones :11: but mostly those for good photo ops. the lagoon's sheltered by a dike at the entrance. the dike freely let's water in and out and only keeps the big beasties out (e.g. baracuda). however, there is a school of baraccuda in the lagoon that must have gotten in while they were kiddies. anyway, the protected area's mostly coral and ~ 5ft. deep. and 30-50ft. in the deepest parts of the lagoon.

i will also be snorkeling outside the protected area where it's 15+ deep.
