Hi fellow divers,

It sounds like Capt. Wyatt's operation was badly hit by the negative economic impact of the 2004 hurricanes, and he's closed Reef Divers in Looe Key! Sad, since he had gotten so many good reviews on this board.

We were planning on diving the Adolph Bush with him in June, and would like to know what alternative dive operators in the Looe Key park you can suggest for 2 days of diving. We looked at the Looe Key Dive center, but they don't dive the wreck on the days we can go (monday and tuesday) and have fairly large groups, and South point divers in Key West seems to be pretty far from it.

Any reputable dive operators in the area???

Thanks!

J.

unless you're dead set on going to the Adolph Bush, you'd have a good experience with Scuba Doo on largo. I've been out with them numerous times and haven't had a mediocre time yet. Leo.

Yeah, too bad about Jim. I helped him move into his house in HIgh Spring, so at least we know hes gone to a good place. Hes going to get the cave diving bug back. Someone may be taking over for him, so keep them in mind. Ill ask him who he thinks would be good down there.

Thanks guys,

yes, I have started looking at other options.

We are flying into Miami and out of Key West, and we have 4 full dive-days, as we don't mind driving down the Keys after a day of diving.

Is Key Largo one of the best keys to go diving from? We could do 3 days in Largo, and 1 in Looe Key. Or 2 and 2 (Largo, Looe), or 2, 1, 1 (Largo, Looe and Key West).

Any recommendations??

Thanks!

J.

I had Capt Wyatt's boat reserved for the 29th. When I talked to him he suggested http://www.diveinnerspace.com/ out of Big-Pine.

We dive Mostly out of Key Largo with http://www.bluewaterdiver.net/ , but Looe key is worth the extra drive for at least 1 day.

Yep, just asked him and he said to try Innerspace.

Thanks guys,

We are looking at 3 days in Key Largo with Blue Water Divers, and then 1 day in Looe Pine with Innerspace.

Any recent experiences with Blue Water Divers in Key Largo?

Thanks!

J.

Thanks for the tip on Innerspace, I wanted to do a dive on Looe with Jim's outfit, but got the message that they closed...
