Spring has Sprung... and Reef Check California is ramping up for a busy season of surveying and training.

Check out the latest news in the "Transect Line", Reef Check's electronic newsletter: Reef Check's The Transect Line

There are some spaces available in some 2009 training classes..... See the newsletter for details.
You could join the team, learn more about your local waters, and actively support the process of reef management based on valid scientific data.

Reef Check California is seeking volunteers to staff the RC booth at the Long Beach Scuba Show (May 30/31, 2009, Long Beach Convention Center.) Check the last part of the newsletter for how to volunteer.

Also in the newsletter:
Dirk Burcham gets The Golden Slate Award for the most transects in 2008. Yea Dirk!!!

Post questions if you have them, or PM me or SeaDana for more information.

Time to go Count Stuff!!
John
