Reading the thread "Inconsiderate divers" (yes, I agree, they couldn't have done things in a worse way), made me think about an attitude I happened to encounter while diving in warm waters.

During the briefing the guide proposes "let's consider each buddy pair as a single unit, will you accept being reaccompanied at the anchor line if you consume more air than others then I go off again with the less heavy-breathers"?

Naturally, this can't be done every time, but it can save someone's day when there is indeed a big difference between divers forming one guided group.

There are even some current easy dives where people can go up with a "diver down" buoy and be picked up one buddy system at a time.

Any opinions?
