Hello All,

Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I'm gong to be in Redondo Beach for a wedding on Saturday 3/18 and would be interested in getting together with anyone who's available and willing to do some diving during the day on Friday 3/17. I've never dived in that area, but I've read that there's some good diving off of Veterans Park. So, if you have the time and don't mind showing me around, drop me a PM and we'll exchange "resumes".

Thanks in advance.

Vets Park - sand bottom, not much structure or plant life. Bottome line, due to the deep canyon, you can get deep and the currents bring up a lot of great stuff for a night dive. Day dive, well, there are a whole lot of other nearby dive sites that I would recommend over Vets Park in the daylight.

http://www.sandeaters.org for a list of dive sites. Malaga Cove, Old Marineland, Topaze Jetty (if you find the old pier) are just some that are not too far away.
