Redang, Malaysia - late October

How would the weather and diving be in late October/early November. Also, any recommendations on where to stay and dive operators.

That's the bad time in Redang.
The good time is from April to September.

Actually, it might be ok. I think you might catch the tail end of the season. They shut everything down for the winter months. You'd be better off going to the West coast of Thailand.

There are many resorts on Pulau Redang... if you just want to dive, then Redang Kalong (www.redangkalong.com) is the place to go.

Heard from Redang Kalong ppl during my last trip there in Aug that there're whale shark sightings sometimes during season end...
