Recs on Ft. Myers?

Hey my roommate is going to Ft. Myers in August- he's a fairly new diver, but very competent in the water.. ANything in the 75 feet or less range would be ideal. Does anybody have any good recommendations on good dive shops. He'll also need full gear rental and would be traveling by himself, so would need a boat where he could hook up with a more competent buddy than himself. Thanks a bunch.

KidK9 - I'm a Ft Myers diver. Both my buddy and I have boats (searching for the right motor for mine right now), so going out to dive local is not going to be an issue. For gear, have your buddy contact me directly closer to August and I'll get him some recommendations.
