Hey All,

I have recently discovered the (economical) joys of shore diving (thought I was going have to put up my fins while being a poor student again). However I've pretty much have just dove by commercial pier/Datura area. Can anyone recommend some other good shore diving areas? I just picked up a Tank with a year of unlimited air fills from UnderSea Sports (located at: 1450 N. Federal Highway, Ft Lauderdale, Fl 33304 - tell them Bob sent you ;-)), so dives between North Miami (where I live) and Fort Lauderdale would be ideal. Maybe in the Hollywood/Hallandale area?

Thanks in Advance!,

Bob

I was going to say Lauderdale by the Sea but you've already got that one. Check with DebbyDiver, if for some reason, more don't reply to your thread.

One great place I have yet to get to is BlueHeronBridge! Loads of life and macro there but you have to hit it when the tide is just right. Stick "Blue Heron Bridge" in the search funtion on SB and you will get lots of threads on it.

Good luck and enjoy! :)

From Michigan Avenue in Hollywood, north to the Port Everglades inlet has good shore diving. Check out the Ero Jacks north of Dania pier. Pick up a copy of "Shore Diving Locations" by Ray Mcallister for good information. Check out google earth. There is reef line that runs up the coast.

i'll be in miami for a couple of days , i'm looking for a good dive place there, somebody can sugest one?
thanks

The Eurojacks is a must do. If you live in Dade or Broward You're not a real shore diver until you've done the Jacks. :D

The viz in shore and the sea conditions have been good. Now, and the next few months, is peak shore dive time. I had 60 ft of Viz last weekend. It doesn't get any better than that. Get out there...
