Hi!

I just bough a Intova Sport HD II camera and was wondering what microSD card I should get.
I was told by a friend that I shouldn't cheap out on the card, so he recommended me to buy a SanDisc Extreme (45 MB/s) or Extreme Pro (80 MB/s). I don't want to be cheap, but it cost double the price than a standard (30 MB/s). Of course I could get the fastest one, but the question is if the camera will take advantage of it. If the camera works at, say 30MB/s, I'd be basically throwing away the money, right?

Unfortunately Intova web page just mention, Class 6 or 10 card, as recommendation (all of the mentioned above are Class 10), but I'd like to know from people that actually own the camera what experience they have had with their cards.

Tnx

Hi, I don't think you really need the faster cards. Unless the camera was recording 4K with a huge bitrate, a normal 30MB/s or maximum 45MB/s should be more than enough. But yes invest in cards from a well known brand such as SanDisk, it should come with a free 1 year license for the data recovery software incase the file becomes corrupted, which is a rare thing btw.

I have not used an Intova camera before, but I do own a couple of GoPro Heroes and Nikon DSLRs that use Sandisk Memory cards.
