I'm looking for recommendations for a hotel that will allow a 3rd party dive op to pick me up at their pier. I have dove with a handful of dive ops in Cozumel and have had the best luck with Dive With Martin and would like to use them again. Ideally, I'm looking for a hotel that will let them pick me up at the hotel pier (I know there will be a pier charge). I've stayed at Blue Angel a couple times and really liked the convenience of walking off the boat, rinsing gear, and heading up to my room, all within a short distance. So I'm looking for a place with those same accommodations. I was going to stay at SCC but that plan went out the window when they closed.
I know a lot of people on this board have stayed at a lot of different places. Hopefully some will fit the bill. Thanks!

I love staying at the IHG Intercontinental El President (I've stayed there a few times over the years, and am going back again in April). It's not exactly what I'd call cheap, but is a lovely, relaxing place with every comfort I could ask for. Unless something big has recently changed, there's no charge (and no friction) for dive ops to use their pier. Your dive boat pulls up to the pier, you hop on/off and that's all there is to it. Many boutique dive ops have you leave your gear on the boat, and they take care of rinsing and setting it up for your next day, so you don't even have to do that. Can't beat the convenience.

Talk with the dive shop and see how far north they go for pickups, it's a fuel burner going north around that cruise ship pier and the pier fees seemed to change monthly.

El Presidente is a great mid distance choice as it's just outside the marina but you need transportation to get into town.

Does BA not allow Dive with Martin to pick up from their pier?
As far as I know BA has no problem with DWM's boats picking up at their dock.

Wyndham Hotel Cozumel allows just about any dive op to pick up at their pier & I've never heard of them charging a pier use fee. It can be purchased as either a Bed & Breakfast or as an All Inclusive. Walking distance to town too. This is my Hotel Tour photo album. I'll be there again this coming Feb as usual. I however won't be diving. Age & bad knees told my last trip I'm not up to the task.

I can second the Intercontinental if you don't mind not being in town. IMHO, it's the newest hotel on the island, bar none. Also probably the prices. You can snorkel off the beach. The rooms overlooking the back pool are great. Big terrace with loads of room for drying dive gear, a big pool no one uses, and quiet. The restaurants are great, but pricey. I ate at the same one 4 days in a row, and they realized after 2 days I didn't like onion, so they made the salsa without it. The only bad thing is the dive shop, which you won't be using.

I assume you mean the Presidenté when you say Intercontinental but it's by no means the newest. It's been there a long time. I think the Weston is the newest & it's on the north end.
