Thanks again for the responses.

So aside from idcthailand.com and Thresher Shark Divers in the Philippines (and Utila Dive Center by default of responding -thank you Andy) nobody has any more specific recommendations for where to do my DM and OWSI training?

I went through Prodive Mexico in the Mayan Riviera (North of Playa del Carmen) and had a good overall experience with them, due specifically to the quality of Anders Heegaard. Make sure he's teaching the IDC, otherwise I wouldn't bother... but personally I'd go to Utila if I had it to do over again. They'll take care of you the best, something you won't get in Mexico, and Andy Phillips trained Anders... so you know he's high quality.

I would suggest complting DM local to where you live and if you wish to complete IDC in a foreign country try Bonaire.Pepe at Budy Dive is a course director and runs idc's there.

Thanks. I heard Pepe was good but (not to sound spoiled) I spent 3 months on Bonaire working with Sea Turtle Conservation and had other trips there as well. I would like to see
someplace I have never been. Plus the cost of short-term housing there would kill my budget. As far as the DM is concerned I am not really living in CT anymore. Just visiting until I
can work out a plan.
