Recommendations in San Diego?

Several of my daughters & son-in-laws (and me) are/have been certified; some of us for over 20 years. One of my daughters & her fiance live in San Diego and want to get certified (Open Water 1); I would like recommendations of a really good/safe instructor/operation in the San Diego area. If given a choice, I'd pick NAUI over PADI but will go with either option if the instructor is a good one. Can anyone help out with a (some) suggestion(s)? Thanks very much!

I too have a daughter and son-in-law going to Hawaii in 4 months and live in San Diego and wish to get certified be for going so I'll watching for ideas too. If I get some names I'll pass it to on to you also.

Ocean Enterprises (PADI) & Diving Locker (SSI) are the two I frequent the most, cause they're closest. OE has just partnered with Sports Chalet for instructions; Their UTC shop is probably the closest to your relatives.
