Looking for current recommendations for liveboards this summer with two 14 year olds, have done lots of reading so far but would like some more current recos. Thinking T/C, but am open and just starting my research. Any help and comments are greatly appreciated.
Both kids are experienced divers.
Thanks ahead of time

I did T/C last year with the Aggressor. There was a 17 year old young lady aboard too. I had a great time and thought the staff was fantastic. I would go back in an instant.

The Turks & Caicos Explorer requires that divers under 15 must travel and dive with their parent or guardian, unless undergoing active training with an instructor. Are they the same gender or would they have to bunk in separate cabins? Once onboard they are pretty reasonable once the have a chance to evaluate each diver's skills.

With thanks to Mike Southard, here's a good T/C Explorer trip report. We did it a couple years ago and saw everything but the dolphins - although we heard them once off West Caicos. Saudio's Trip Reports One advantage Explorer has over Aggressor is that nice flybridge on top - it's shaded. If the boat is crowded it's better than the sundeck IMO. I even slept up there once or twice.

Thats not a problem. They are same gender

I read that report thanks, was very helpful. The shaded sundeck seems key!

There were a couple of teens on our liveaboard on Explorer Saba/St Kitts. It was nice cuz you could do the land tour of Saba ( excellent Jo Beans jewelery ) to stretch your legs.

Some place with historically 'slight' seas??.......

I suggest you contact each specific live aboard that may be of interest.

We have done many caribbean live aboard trips, but only once had "children" on board. So I claim you will have a hard time getting relevant feedback.

I love the t&c explorer, but one thing to consider is the deep minimal depth. Most of the walls start at 50 feet. Not much to see shallower than that. I am not sure if depth is an issue with youngsters.

You can find shallower diving in Belize (dancer or aggressor). The Saba explorer boat is also a blast. Lots of good diving.

My kids have done two - the Dancer boat in Belize and the Nekton boat in the Caymans (now defunct).

I would suggest you look at the Aquacat. I have not done but it's on the short list and James posted a great trip report.
On a scale of 1-10 he gets a 14..... for the report
