Hey Divers,

I'm headed to San Juan, PR during the last week of August for some diving during my military Leave.

I'm staying at La Concha resort in downtown San Juan and I'll be bringing all my gear with me...

I'd love some advice on Local Dive Sites or even a good place to rent tanks so I can dive off the beach myself...

I'd just love the lowdown on San Juan diving PLEASE.

Thanks.

See ya at the Bottom,

Bear

Hey, how did your dive trip to PR go? The family and I are planning a trip to PR as well and we are looking to stay in San Juan too. Who did you end up diving with over there? Have you ever seen or stayed in the Coast Guard cottages? I ask because I am in the CG too and though I believe they are on the other side of the island from San Juan, they are still an option for us to rent so we can save a bit of cash. Any info you could pass along would be great, thanks!

I believe they are on the other side of the island from San Juan, !

better diving on the Caribbean side, Jan Juan is not exactly the spot. you can take a ferry in Fajardo to Callebra or viecques, or dive out of Fajardo with um "venture something" My personal experience is that it would be better to take the ferry or stay on the Caribbean sides as that is the recommended side.
