Hi everyone,
I know this may be a long shot, but I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for an ENT with experience working with divers in Georgia. Ideally, I'm looking for someone in the Athens or Atlanta areas, but I am willing to drive a bit if there's someone farther away. I've had problems with my sinuses most of my life and it's been getting a lot worse in the last few years. It didn't cause me any issues with diving until my most recent dive trip. I was doing a drift dive with some pretty strong current in a large group so I had to descend a lot quicker than I normally would (I usually descend a lot slower than most other divers because of my sinus issues, it takes me longer to equalize), and I was fine for a few minutes at depth but then suddenly I got horrible vertigo and had to abort the dive immediately. I spoke to the captain back on the boat and he said it was likely an ear issue from what I was describing, especially since I had bad sinuses. Between the fact its been impacting my quality of life the last few years and now that it has impacted diving, I figure its finally time to get this checked out. I'd ideally like to see a doctor who has experience working with divers, though I know that may be hard to find, so I'm looking to see if anyone here has recommendations.
