Hi everyone,

I will be traveling to Puerto Galera to dive for a week in November and would like to get everyone's recommendation for dive resorts. The criteria?...

-Have 5 dives per day available.
-Great food.
-Good Accomodations.
-Not far of a walk to the nightlife in Sabang.

After some research it looks like Lalaguna Villas, El Galleon, and Atlantis may be the best fits. I would love to hear everyone's thoughts. Thank you in advance.

Action Divers. They do not have it's own resort but there are a few to select around the shop.
5 dives a day is not an issue and Sabang is about 5 mins walk.

LL Villa is nice and literally at the back of Action.

Would you recommend Action divers over LL Villa dive op?
I would probably stay at LL villas over Atlantis or El Galleon. Food and lodging look so much better.

Atlantis is over rated and over priced! But they do have steady supply of customers from USA.
Action Divers have been around long long time and LL Villa is relatively new in comparison.
However, a room + dive package could save some money.
Your choice.

Atlantis is a well run operation but I found their PG resort generally inconvenient and uncomfortable.

Atlantis came back costing $3600. El Galleon is $2600. LLV is $2700. All offer 5 dives per day. I am inclined to pick LLV due to the smaller diver to guide ratio of 4 to 1 and newer facilities. Both Atlantis and El Galleon are 6 to 1. Atlantis offers $60 per dive for a private guide. El Galleon is $40 per dive. LLV doesn't offer a private guide but has a smaller guide to diver ratio.

You tube has several videos on LLV. Food looks very good and the rooms nice.
It’s located in small la Laguna a short walk to Sabang.
I talked to them recently at our scuba show and I don’t think you can go wrong with them.
Another option is over in big la Laguna, Scandi divers. Good food, nice rooms, and much quieter.
You can still walk from there to Sabang if you need the night life.

Another option is La Laguna Beach Club and Dive Centre.
The only issue on staying in Big La Laguna Beach and would like to venture out to Sabang Beach in the evening is during the high tide. There is a narrow stretch of beach along the closed Portofino in Small Lalaguna where no one would want to wade through it when the tide is high. Of course you can climb over the low wall of Portofino but you will need a torch and also make sure you are sober because you do want to fall into the horrible dirty disgusting water in the swimming pool!!!
Arrange a banca.

Action Divers has partnership with Out of the Blue Resort…not sure how closely they are connected - but they offer -10% of their dive rates for OOTB guests. Based on my quite thorough research ended up booking with them for December, OOTB has nice villas and rooms for a very decent price (you get a discount via signing to their loyalty program at no cost) plus the on-site Verandah restaurant that seems to get very good reviews as well.
For me it seems Action Divers is a smaller boutique operation compared to Asia Divers, Scandi or Atlantis who are bigger operators, I was myself debating between LLV and Action, ended-up with the latter after messaging with their Dive op. manager Huw James who was supper welcoming and informative.

If you're on the Internet might as well search Captain Greg's. It's been there forever. Decent restaurant and bar right on the water where expat locals hang out and it's almost too close to the nightlife. I'm sure they'll do five dives if you want. I looked there last November but they didn't have waterfront room available (even though there was nobody diving).
I wound up at Angelyns , waterfront in sabang , which was ok . I was the only diver there for six days .. Last November was dead there.
Another place I've stayed before it's Tina Reef Divers at the very east end of the malecon. Busy decent shop . Special price offered was two dives and a room with breakfast for $50... Five minute walk to "downtown".
You could prebook the well known places (Atlantis ..el Gallon) and they're all good but in November you can usually just show up.n and pick
Last November dives were 1200 pesos $22
