Looking for glove recommendations. Diving in 60’ish degree water. Will 5mm be too much? Henderson Hyperstitch, Bare....???

What are you guys using?

I would think 5mm would be enough, depends on your comfort level.
I like Bare gloves, but they're all pretty much the same. BE sure they fit, have long cuffs, and seal well.

I use drygloves :eyebrow:

It seems to me that it's hard to have "too much" insulation (diving wet at least!). I have Henderson 3mm gloves and they were fine (for me) on a pair of 50F dives two weeks ago. The 5/3 fullsuit was (is) right on the edge of being too little for 50F, but I wore it for over an hour in an 81F pool a week prior. (Not the gloves, but I don't think they'd have been a problem in the warmer water anyway.)

Dry gloves below 70f. IMO. Take it for what it's worth. Most diving here is in that range.

I have a pair of 3mm that I use here in SoCal that have been too much (for me). My last dive I went bare-handed and it was great ... except for where I cut my knuckle brushing against a rock. The cold when bare didn't really bother me, but the loss of tactile sensation in the gloves really does. I'm going to pick up a pair of mesh reef gloves and try those.

Unless you have Reynauds syndrom or some other problem, I would suggest a pair of 3mm Ankonas for 60 deg water. I dove 45 Deg last week in Gloucester and I was cold with them but dove 57 deg yesterday and was fine.
