The whole point is that you can't just reference a study referenced by someone else on the internet. If you are going to introduce the study as evidence to make point, then the entire study must be produced. It would be even better if the study was independently duplicated.

As long as your profile gets you out of the water safely, it's working, although it might take a few years to figure out the long term effects. You might be able to cut your profile in half and that might allow you to do longer or deeper dives with the same deco, but it works for you and the dives you do. If you wanted to do bigger, hairier dives, then you might have to rethink your profile so that you could get out of the water in a reasonable time or carry a reaasonable amount of gas.

Yeah, this makes no sense. :D

Then why post it? Way to drop a useless bit of dribble. So what you are saying is: exceed well established limits because you can, and since you got away with it last time you can push further? Good luck with all that.

i think i see his point...
clearley you didnt.
but hes no english major either
not that i am :)

ok
i THINK
what hes saying is that the tables we have now, that are based on what is probally old school data. are working now. and getting us out of the water safe...
some of the newer data is as well, but is still a little new to know the long term effects..
who kows there may be a day when we find that were doin more deco than we need on the longer deeper dives...and we will be able to go deeper and longer .................. mabye someday....
but till then..
it is what it is..
any better?

My point was that it is safer to stick to what works for you rather than dive a profile just because "those guys on the internet" are doing it.

I would rather have an overconservative profile than an untested one. Mixed gas diving is a do-it-yourself lab experiment. You get the c-card, you get some gas, and you go dive. If you get bent or feel tingly, add more deco the next time.
