I could be wrong, but new user, single post, who left contact info (email is under his location beneath username) and I'm betting he doesn't check back anytime soon. If you're interested, your best bet is to contact him.

Oh and I'm sure it goes without saying, but new user & expensive item, do your homework and buyer beware! ;)

As I said I own already a Optima, and I am looking for a second one for my wife. From my point of view, when you buy a rebreather you know it inside out before you even receive it.

Secondly he said he just did 30 min in a pool, I find hard to believe because due to the cost of operation of a rebreather and also the minimum requirement to began the level1 course which is Advance nitrox and Stage Deco, most instructor are just doing open water.

I may be wrong and it's why a request more information.

To anybody who may think to buy an O2ptima you should ask to have a picture of the BS-O-METER, this is a function on the Optima who are tracking the usage time and this is not possible to reset.

Thank

David

That's a good thought, but the BS-O-Meter is appropriately named. They are not accurate at all. For example, if you remove the battery without letting it shut down on its own or put it to sleep, it will not log to the BS-O-Meter or it may log some weird amount of time. One of my secondaries shows about 160 hours. That's a bit light, but not ridiculous. I would guess I have about 300 hours on it. I think the primary on the same unit shows over 2000 hours. That's ridiculously way more than I have on that unit.

im not sure what the bs o meter is but I would be glad to take pictures of whatever you want on it, its sitting at a dive shop right now. I purchased it from a rebreather instructor and would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Yes you are wrong I was kinda talked into it from a friend who is a rebreather instructor. John Fulop if you are familiar with him. My instruction wasnt going to cost meanything as he is a friend of mine but I never finished it because it simply didnt interest me especially when you cant spearfish on it. as for advanced nitrox and deco I am a scuba instructor and have been for some time I just didnt find the rebreather fun after doing the pool session. i will ask john how to take pictures of the computer of whatever you wish to see or better yet he will be down here next week and he can take pics of whatever you wish.

Not judging, just being cautious. Nobody said we shouldn't deal with you, just pointed out some legitamate reasons to be concerned.
