Really NewB question. Why does Lift Matter in a BCD?

Your might also need to retrieve somone elses dropped weights or other piece of gear. Also, in an extreme down current you can escape with more lift. Its a safety thing, but sometimes comfort is given up for that extra lift. I wear a high lift capacity BC for trainign and teaching only.
