I have to say i love that diving photo, I suppose I could try diving in sneakers and borrow somebody else's fins. I can't however find the Gull fins, does anybody have the website address for them?

Gull fins are distributed in the Far East and New Zealand by their Japanese manufacturer, whose current catalogue can be downloaded from

Here's the website of a stockist in Thailand:

GULL DIVING EQUIPMENT

I have a pair of Gull Hard Mew fins and I'm very pleased with them.

I looked at the Gull catalog and it's beautiful, if only I knew what on earth was going on!

And on the force fins, does anybody have any suggestions as to what model would fit my diving (recreational diving for a girl who desperately wants to keep up with the group) style?

The Originals, Pros, or the Foil Force are all great fins for recreational scuba. Most people prefer the Pros as they are a little stiffer and they feel closer to what they are used to and think that is what they need. But any of the 3 are really good.

Given how small and petite you are I would recommend the Original ($150 from Scuba.com), or possibly the Foil Force.

Thank you so much for that advice! I think the foil force fins look great, I would definitely go from being the laughing stock of the dive to the envy of the dive with those things, but they don't come any smaller than medium and I will definitely need a small.

If anyone out there is in the USVI and knows where I can try on a pair of force fins, please tell me!

BADKITTYSTT, The foil Force only goes to size ml. Stick to the original small Force Fin with a comfort instep. I will make sure you will be happy. I made many foot cast from women's feet and designed my foot pocket with that in mind. Best Bob
