I've finally signed up for my OW class! I'm so excited and can't wait until January 8th to start. The only dive shop in the area is SSI, so I'll be taking their course. Got the bug back in September when I was able to do a couple of resort dives.

Only 3 more days!!! But you are not counting, right?

m7scuba:
Yup... 2 more now! Can't wait to get wet.

Just wait until after you hit the OW!!!

I finished my OW at the beginning of Nov.

I'm now going to do my AOW at the end of January just to get some more diving in before our next trip to FL in the spring... can't WAIT!!

I spend my commute time (bus) dreaming of all the places I want to go and dive... sigh.. then I go and work...

AOW is great. Glad to see you are advancing. Really work on the PPB. That will be of great benefit.

Your Big day starts tomorrow WooooHoooo!!!! :cheering: PLEASE let us know how awesome you thought it was.... Good luck to ya!

it will be fun, i am fat and forty five and recently got my open water certification. it really was life changing, good luck and more importantly have fun!

Just got home from the first day of class. FUN!

The pool was pretty cool. Taking the BC off while in the pool on the surface was pretty tough. Doing it under water was a little easier, but still a challenge. We got done with the skills a little early and got to just swim around for a bit. The other skills (mask clearing, regulator retrieval, breathing under water :) ) were pretty easy. Can't wait for tomorrow...
