My weeping comment refers to the fact that so many sharks are now becoming endangered...that they have to be put on the lists at all!

The tragedy is that you can put them on all the endangered lists you want, but that wont keep humans for killing them for their fins...

It keeps the handful of countries that actually pay attention to such lists from killing them.

Unfortunately, that handful of countries is very much outnumbered by the third world countries (and a few first world, grr) that could care less.

does this mean that thresher sharks wont be for sale at your local Ralphs? hopefully so! It is sad news but hopefully they will be able to have a chance to rebound!

Does anyone know of any good organizations that are helping to save the sharks???
