RDX-60 and TTL converter III

Hi again,I just placed a bid for the ttl converter III on ebay.I then downloaded the user manual and found out that the two are not comèpatible.
Is it true or is there a modification that needs to be done?

HI andy-
The TTl converter III was engineered and manufactured prior to the D60 camera being put onto the market by Nikon. Unfortunately, the TTL III is not compatible. The YS Converter N (#50117) is compatible with the D40, D40x and D60 cameras.
