Visibility is great with no students roto tilling for a few months, and was 50' or better all over the lake. Lots of large bass, but I am not sure where the other fish are hanging out this winter.

The temp is also a warm and balmy 48 degrees - warmer than I expected, but still cool.

We played with my Mako and took a grand tour of the whole lake while contempating whether there is a dive equivalant of "wind chill factor". I noted a Mako with a rewound motor and decent batteries will pull two divers in doubles at a very nice clip with the prop pitch cranked all the way up.

There are winter rates on the cabins right now ($75 per night) and fills are available - although for the first time ever I saw a set of doubles get filled in about 30 seconds, so they do it a little different than I do.

In case you have not stayed in them before the cabins are set up like mini-dive dorms with 2 sets of twin sized bunk beds and two singles in the loft. (If it were me, I'd have two day beds in the living areas to allow a more living room feelt with trundle bends underneath for the times when 6 divers actually stay in one cabin, but I am not the owner.)

They will be open on Sunday as we will be here, but as far as I know not on Monday unless you call ahead.

4 people showed up. Keven is on his way to Wisconsin and someone else was doing the fill - the normal Keven fill is a couple minutes - still more than the industry norm 300-600 psi per minute, but not fire department slam fill I got yesterday.

Still, they only charged me for a single tank fill so maybe they charge by the minute. :D

The other two divers dod not dive to day - or if they do they dove early in the am. So we had the quarry to ourselves and took advantage of the great viz to do a grand scooter tour of the quarry. Lots of fun!

Sounds great, wish we could get down before the open water season starts, but I don't know. Just have to see how things work out. Thanks for the report!!
