Does anyone know how or why Ratio decided to use B with GF? I have always wondered but have never found any information. B is a bit more liberal than C, it can be modeled in MultiDeco. Ratio is not represented in the Manufacturers Forum

16b m-values are slightly more liberal because they were intended for use in tables because they have their own conservatism added in (ie max depth for the whole BT etc)
16c was intended for computers

Why ratio uses 16b you would have to ask them for a definitive answer. But I suspect they have other mechanisms to add conservatism like gradient factors so changing the base m-values wasn't their choice.

Thanks, of course. I suppose I could email Ratio, I will. I think you just run slightly lower GFs. Their highest preset GF is 93/93.
