Recently this video was shared by a local diver ("Seainggreen"/"Laurynn") who was able to capture a very rare event of hatching Giant Pacific Octopus eggs through patiently and repeatedly visiting the mother's den until the event happened. The hatch took several days, and the team was there every night. This video tells "Opal's" story and provides AMAZING footage which will be featured by local media and has been sold to various interested marine-documentary outlets.
Laurynn was kind enough to share this video with us and features her X1 in it in a cameo showing depth of the mother. Please enjoy this short film and pass the YouTube link onto anyone you think would enjoy it.
