Hi everyone,
I'm looking to buy a new BC. I've cut it down to two, the Zeagle Ranger or the Seaquest Pro Unlimited and would like some insight by those of you that own or know one of these BC's well enough to give me the Pros and the Cons. Thanks in advance.
Ice Blue.

Two different types of BCD.

Zeagle Ranger is a back inflate, Seaquest Pro Unlimited is a jacket.

What kind of diving do you do ? Recreational, technical, warm, cold ?

Well I dive Rec tech and in cold water sometime ice diving.

dilemma a year ago. My choice was between the Seaquest QDpro and the Zeagle Ranger. I had a Seaquest jacket type BC for about 8 years and 300 plus dives. But it always felt sloppy on me. When I dove a back inflated jacket it strapped on tight and felt secure. When diving the jacket I felt I was inside something, when diving the Zeagle I felt it is a part of me. I bought the Zeagle and now have about 50+ dives on it.
The choice of BCs is really a very personal issue. Do you need D rings to hang gear, do you feel it necessary to surround yourself in a cushion? Does your type of diving ever (now or later) require doubles? Do you like a single tank strap or two? Do you want the ripcord intigrated system or prefer tugging one weight side out at a time? Choices, Choices! Both are finely manufactured BC's but entirely different. If you like Seaquest you might want to look at their Black Diamond BC. It's a back inflated unit and has many of the same features as a Zeagle Ranger. Since a BC is an expensive purchase you also might want to rent the same type of BC and dive it a few times to get the real feel. Hope this helps.

I would like to second the fit on the Zeagles. I just bought my first bc about 10 dives ago, a Zeagle escape, as I'm just a rec diver right now and didn't need all that extra stuff. The BC's that "fit me" In the past always swayed one way or another and sometimes were uncomfortable. With the zeagle the only thing I have had to adjust at depth was the cumberbund, and that because I didn't have it tight in the first place, so it was my fault. Zeagles are great BC's!! Or as some will probobly suggest....a bp...

Good Luck!

you could PM me for details on a mint condition Seaquest Raider...the best of both worlds...for sale.
