I am also keen to go to Raja Ampat in early 2011. Wondered who to book through. Has anyone booked a trip via Dive the World or Premier liveaboard diving or Raja Ampat liveaboard Indonesia? Its hard to know if my hard earned money is going to result in a holiday at the end.

Also, is it true we can't book internal indonesian flights except through an indonesian travel agency? Sorong is a little challenging to get to.

Also, does anyone know of a reasonably priced onland accomodation i could dive before and after the boat?

Hi! How are you flying to Raja Ampat? I have not taken the big decision because of the flights! I live in Guatemala, Central America, and would have to travel to LAX, and then I guess to Singapore... but I havent had the time to do any more reaserch. Any help will be welcome!

Hi
I am flying to Bali. I got some cheap flights from Australia and originally had them booked for August but now going over new years. I will have to take internal flights in Indonesia. Apparently you can't book online unless you have an Indonesian credit card (I tried) and only 3 months in advance (I know a little bit inconvenient for planning...). I think most of the sites that book the boat have helpful people on flights. Good luck. Noone has come back to me with an answer on my boat or flights so I might just take a risk :)

Hello there. My name is Erwin and I am one of the cruise directors aboard the AAII. Just to clear up a couple of points about how we run the boat, we run max 18 guests and 6 dive guides, 4 Indonesian guides (including the famous Made), myself and Nora, my better half.
The diving, the ship and the crew are great and we'd love to have you on board. Feel free to email me at erwinfilius@gmail.com with any questions about travel and/or the boat and I'd be happy to help with anything I can.
Cheers
Erwin Filius.
