Raja Ampat closed March 23 - April 5

The liveaboard that has been fighting a reschedule for our half charter (even for folks who have been banned from entering the country at all by their government) has just announced that Raja Ampat is officiall closing starting March 23-April 5. Tagging @Dan to help with translations if he is willing.

We are an April 1 sailing so hopefully, this forces their hand.

I'm now hearing Komodo is closed for 2 months.....

March 19 to May 29.

Basically it says no tourism allowed for 2 weeks from March 23. Also Raja Ampat district is now in lockdown.

I suspect it may go longer than that. Komodo at 2 months...ouch. The locals are going to get hit hard as they rely heavily on tourism and the liveaboard business.

No. That's just for cruise ship, not liveaboard. It sounds like you still can go liveaboard diving in Komodo.
