I have a IXUS500 and found with it set to Quickshot, i could get some reasonable (not brilliant, and not duff) pictures. However a friend who is also into diving has a IXUS400 and was wondering whether the option was a new feature on the 500.. as he cannot find it in the manual or any setup options.. Any IXUS guru's know the answer please

Thanks

Jim

Ialso had a 400, which I later upgraded to a 500. Quickshot is definitely a new feature which has been added. As your mate has probably realised, the 400 doesn't have this feature. Hope this clears it up.

Look on the positive side-any dive's a good dive! Did you get to do the Yongala wreck when you were here???

No did 2 days on reefjet out of abel point, near Airlie Beach. Due to the weather, they had to stay within the islands and could not got to the outer reef. We dived Maureens Cove and Butterfly bay, which are off of Hook Island. Must admit Reefjet is one mental boat.. :eyebrow:

Whitsundays are great, been there twice in 9 months.. once i paid for, second time the company indirectly, working in sydney for a week, jumped a virgin blue flight and took a weeks holiday before flying back to the UK

Hope to be back sometime in 2005

Cheers

Give me a hoy via the board and we might be able to hook up for a dive or 10 when you get here. I actually changed my Ixus 500 for an A95. I found that the Ixus was too Auto, always wanting a slow shutter, resulting in motion blurs in my shots. Might be an excuse for you to go duty-free shopping on the way.
